However, the economic crisis of 1997 led to the serious doubts about thesuccess. So that some spoke of the death of developmental states. Especially, thiscrisis is analyzed in relation to the globalization and structural change resulting fromit. In this paper based on an analysis of the nature of globalization, It has beenargued that not only the possibility of the emergence of developmental states havenot gone away but also provide new area’s for states role in development .
