Therefore, by expanding NATO into this region America is trying to decrease the influence of Russia in these republics and in the meantime fulfilling the above purpose and also to prevent the Russian-led regional union or association. On the other hand, this strategy of America is threatening the political and economic interests of Russia in the region. Thus, the Russia is attempting to prevent the expansion of NATO into the region by creating Buffer Zone. Consequently, according to the reasons mentioned above the interests of America and Russia in Central Asia and Caucasus are against each other.
