This theory faces with two main theoretical challenges. The first challenge is the position of Modernists toward this theory. They argue that this theory is in contradiction with free thinking. And the second challenge comes from the viewpoint of traditionalists. From their point of view this theory violates the necessity of absolute obedience from God. This paper tries to clarify the above mentioned situation by taking into consideration the Islamic reformist’s first hand resources regarding the subject. And the findings of this paper confirm the authenticity of Islamic reformist’s epistemological theory.
