The concept of Islamic Unity was the one that originated in contemporary history of the Indian subcontinent, and finally, expanded in its historical evolution by Sayyid Jamal in Islamic world. This concept has been always considered in terms of the conceptual dichotomy of Sectarianism and Secularism. As a result, it caused this concept to act unlike its task, that should create unity between the Islamic sects for overcoming backwardness, due to the colonial and despotism. In this article, we will try to consider the historical and socio-political contexts of creation, evolution and extension of this concept
