Abstract

Political developments in Algeria throughout the years after the Second World War have attracted the attention of many analysts. A country that, due to its fights for independence as well as against colonialism, was a source of inspiration for many freedom fighter movements of the world, during the ending years of the last century, exposed to one of the most terrible violence and civil war. So that antagonistic conflicts among opposing forces mounted to the point that each of them seemed as an absolute evil to the other.
In this paper, we, with a brief reference to the history of Algeria, intend to shed a light on the roots of this violence.
