Throughout the history of the world, the types of governments and administrative systems of societies have had direct impacts on the rights of human beings in general and on those of women in particular. A study of the status of women in different periods of history, and from different aspects, demonstrates that women have been struggling for their rights from the beginning. Over the passage of history, e.g., in pre-historic times, there was a time when there existed no huge gap between men and women and even woman domination can be seen.
